DOES YOUR CHILD LOVE ART?

Welcome to 'Les Petits Artistes'. My name is Karen Margulis and I am an artist working in Marietta, Georgia. I have a degree in Elementary education and was working towards my masters in Art Education when I began to raise my family. Since then I have owned and operated a home childcare while persuing my art on the side. I work mostly in the medium of Soft Pastel. I remember taking art classes as a child at the local Art Guild. I felt so 'grown up' because we used real paints out of a tube and painted at real easels. The teacher treated us like artists and I felt like one! I believe that this early art training contributed to my love of art and confidence as an artist. I decided to open my own home studio in Marietta to children who love art as much as I did as a child and to give children a positive experience creating fine art. It is my goal for each child to discover their own personal style and develop confidence in the creative process.

I am offering classes for children age 6- 14 in three age groupings. Children will have a variety of stimulating opportunities to make art from imagination and direct observation using real art materials. Read on for more information about the classes.
